Going to the Extreme: Racing Yacht Charter
There are many different types of yacht charters on the market today including corporate yacht charters for companies who want to do a special vacation or working meeting for the executives of the company and their families. There are also sailing yacht charters, motor yacht charters and catamaran charters on the market as well so that individuals can choose the type of boat that fits their wildest imaginations for a luxury yacht cruise. These charters are a great vacation choice because they allow individuals to make more of a specialized choice in the places visited during the course of the charter, what the foods are and what time to dine, as well as the activities to participate in compared to going on a traditional cruise ship.
These yacht charters can be made for almost any location in the world. There are some that sail off the coast of Greece and around the Mediterranean. There are others that travel up the eastern or western coastline of the United States and Canada. There are others that travel the waters of the Caribbean, hitting the islands in one of the three areas in the Caribbean, depending on the charter. The more expensive Caribbean charters are in the Leeward Islands which includes the more secluded and exclusive islands of St. Martin and St. Bart's. Other Caribbean charters travel the waters around the Virgin Islands and the Windward Islands. The great thing also about these yacht charters too is that the people on the charter do not have to be sailors or know anything about handling the ship. Although they can learn from the captain, who is usually willing to teach novices, they can just sit back and enjoy the charter, making recommendations on locations to the captain, but leave it up to him to chart the course.
Racing
There are some people who like to handle the boat themselves, and these are more interested in racing yacht charters, in which yachts that are specifically maintained for races are chartered by a racing team. This is a less expensive way for a racing team to be able to enter into yacht racing, since the yachts themselves cost millions of dollars plus maintenance. Racing yacht charters provide a solution to this problem of cash flow. These racing yacht charter companies provide a crew that keeps the yachts in top condition, logging the hours on the water and also how many races have been won in a particular yacht. This is a big selling point with a racing yacht charter, since teams want to charter the fastest racing yacht possible so that their chances of winning are great.
